Expectations & Rules

  1. Be on time, dressed appropriately, and prepared with whatever you need to complete assigned exercises.  Come to the dance room before the tardy bell rings.

  1. Always respect yourself and others. If one student is unkind, or disrespectful the entire group is affected.  This respect should be extended to the instructor. This means please follow directions.  Students should not touch or borrow anything from anyone without first asking permission. ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES SHOULD BE IN USE UNLESS IT IS PART OF THE ASSIGNMENT PERMITTED BY THE DIRECTION OF THE INSTRUCTOR. SNAP CHATTING, TWEETING, AND OTHERWISE USE OF YOUR CELL PHONE IS DISRUPTIVE TO OUR CLASS AND WILL AFFECT YOUR DAILY GRADE!!!

  1. Keep your language & and the dance room clean too. Please be aware of your language and take responsibility to clean up after yourself.  Do not use profanity or play music with profanity, racial slurs, or explicit content. Stay hydrated. Water ONLY may be placed on the tables. However, NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN THE DANCE AREA PLEASE. DISREGARD OF THIS RULE, WILL AFFECT YOUR GRADE. Let’s all work together to keep the dance room clean!  

  1.  Students are expected to participate to the best of their ability. Please be as honest with the teacher as possible.  I want to make this a compassionate environment. If a dancer is unable to perform to assigned activity, communication is the key to achieving this goal.   

  1. Students are expected to stay on task and follow directions. Communication is the key. If you are not sure what to do, or need directions repeated, please ask J

Consequences:
First Warning:  Verbal reminder

Second Warning:  Verbal Warning + Partial loss of daily participation points

Third Warning:  Written Referral + Appropriate Consequence + Phone Call Home
*** In case of behavior that results in serious disruption of class or harm to another person, the situation will be treated as a third offense. Student may be asked to leave dance room, if teacher deems necessary.
